Chanel Noirs Obscurs Winter 2009 Collection
Sigh, Chanel just likes to take all my money away from me. While browsing for Chanel’s 2009 winter colors, I stumbled across their limited edition Chanel Noirs Obscurs collection, and oh, it is just so sultry and … winter! Last time I checked (which was a few days ago), I didn’t see this at Saks or Dillard’s or any other place(s) I go, so I can only assume that I accidentally scanned the Chanel area too quickly, or it isn’t available yet. I’m hoping, if it still hasn’t hit stores, it’ll be coming soon since it’s supposed to be released this month.
Isn’t it gorgeous? I know Chanel’s got some yellow/blue quad coming out in October, (which is what prompted me to search for their winter collection), so I think we’ve got two amazing quads/collections on the way. Hard to believe that 2009 is already coming to an end, isn’t it?
Anyway, since I’m a nude lip kind of gal, I probably won’t be touching the lipsticks, but if you can pull it off, man, that’ll look phenomenal. I CAN’T WAIT! :)

Actually, I’ve found it in shops last week. And I’ve also already bought a lipstick, Hysteria, a really dark violet. I love it! That is my first lipstick ever (never wear one in my life, I just didn’t know why I’ve chosen a colour so dark!)

PS: by the way, what about you posting a sort of tutorial for getting the same look of the model of this collection? I mean the look with the deep grey eyeshadow! It will be extremely interesting! :-)
Hey Vale, so it’s already out in stores?! Where are you from? I called Neiman Marcus a moment ago to ask (hoping it wasn’t limited collection again), and they said it would be out around mid-October, so I’m glad I didn’t miss out on it! :)
Anyway, as soon as it comes out, I’m hopping on those colors… I heard violet is REALLY in right now, so if the lipstick looks right on me, I’m going to pick it up. And sure, I’d love to do a tutorial… I’ll make it a more in-depth this time around! :)
Hello again! I am from Venice, in Italy. And here the collection was just come in the shops the day I went there last. That was… eeehmmmm… September 22! The sales woman told me the collection was just come there the same morning!
There were the 3 lipsticks, the eyeshadow palette and, of course, the nail enamels. I found Hysteria (the dark violet) the best choice, but I am actually thinking about buying Maniac, which is the dark bordeaux ^^
But I still don’t know if I’d have the courage to use them. They’re SO beautiful :-D
By the way, last year I’ve bought also Vendetta, the nail colour, and I wasn’t happy at all. Even with a base, 2 enamel layers and 2 top coat layers, the colour is breaking in less than 2 hours while usually, with the same “layering”, nail enamels last about a week! :_(
